SHRM Community and School Programs

The SHRM-ECC supports the Jobs Plus "Suit Up To Move Up" Annual Drives, that provides clothes to women and men entering into the workforces. SHRM-ECC also works with the Okaloosa School District in recruiting volunteers to mentor students. Click on the links below to learn about these programs.

SUIT UP TO MOVE UP ANNUAL DRIVE

The Suit Up to Move Up Closet is located at the Fort Walton Beach On Stop. The closet can be used by anyone that needs clothing for interviewing and employment. Thank you to our own Eleanor Hypes (Daily News) for heading up our annual clothing drive and for Bob Browne Pros 4 Clothes) for dry cleaning the articles donated. A big thanks to all our members who donated clothing for this annual event.

SHRM-ECC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The SHRM-ECC Chapter has provided scholarships to local students through the Take Stock in Children organization. The comprehensive program helps children succeed by providing college and vocational scholarships, volunteer mentors, student advocates/case managers, tutoring, early intervention and long-term support.
